A beautiful day together

It doesn't matter what we do, as long as it is not arguing, it is always fun! My husband is my best friend! This Sunday I told him I will go wherever he wants me to, so we went to the desert to shoot his toys and to go offroading. Just two of us having fun, even though it is not what I usually prefer doing, being with my husband is the best activity! And of course I didn't miss the opportunity to capture a little bit of beauty even in the desert.

God is AMAZING!!!

My God is absolutely amazing in His generosity! Only three days ago I was worrying sick that I had no patients to test on, almost heading into depression. He sent me a patient and I was able to organize 20 more people to come for the rest of my class! I mean from trying to find a person for myself, guided by God, I went to organizing this big community outreach! How absolutely amazing is that?! This situation of disparity once again showed me how amazing my family is - my mom, brother, dad, and husband supported me through this thing! Without them I would be nowhere.
Huge, right? More than I could ever imagine!
But wait! There is more! He also sent me a bundle of joy! I've met a new friend at church. Her name is Anastasia too! And even her alone would be more than enough fun and joy! But she also has two little girlies that are going to become my little Godchildren in two weeks! I am going to be a Godmother to two beautiful girls! How amazing is that?! We met last Sunday, but already went for a morning walk in the park with kids and talked. I can tell we will be great friends! I fed the little ones and changed their diapers - so much fun for me (you know how crazy I am about little children). I am learning so much from Anastasia - she is a great mother with so much wisdom! You have to have wisdom to have two little babies on your hands when you are my age!
Can you tell how blessed I am yet! For my feeble trust in God, He rewarded me with more than I could ever wish for!
Trust in Him is all I can say...

Spring Studying

The Spring is in full swing here in Vegas - we had 80'F for the past four days now. We are getting tiny new leaves on our little orange tree. It is hot, but bearable so I am trying to be outside as much as possible. I have one simple but unflattering task at this point - study for my regional board exam that I am taking in two days on Tuesday to get my license upon graduating. It is a big deal as I have to remember (or more like relearn) everything they tried to cram in our poor brains in the past two years. It is an eight hour test with over 300 questions and it is intimidating to say the least. So to try and make it a little less hideous and more pleasurable, I go outside as much as possible.
Yesterday I went to my mom's house and studied on their backyard basking in the sun and accompanied by Mia.
Today we all went fishing on Colorado river. It was quite a trip as we were forced to look for fishing license for three hours! (Boulder City doesn't sell them - so weird for a city built right by the water!) but at the end we finally got there, but didn't catch anything, still it was nice to sit by the water with a bunch of funny guys. Beats sitting at home for sure!

This lovely weather makes my life a little easier right now. Wish me luck for that Tuesday and for the rest of the semester for that matter...

An evening in the park

There is this one place that I am sure to take my children to some day many many times. It is simply breathtaking! It is full of old trees and lakes and ducks and peacocks. A couple of days ago I took my friend Mila there and we had some hot tea with scones, fed some ducks, sketched a little, and walked around. We got bullied by two geese but Mila saved our lives by finding a little branch to shoo them off. It was fun and relaxing! The steaming tea, the fresh cool air, the golden sun, the water, the birds, Mila's red hat and my wooly mittens - everything was just right! That place always makes me happy!

Brian Head photos

If I would have had that adapter, that I got for Christmas today, when we went to Brian Head I would have shared these on the spot, but since I didn't here are some bits and pieces from our snowy trip 2012!

Gilcrease Orchard

Before I go into Christmas and winter frenzy, I have to pay my dues to the Fall. Right before the Thanksgiving we went to the local orchard to pick up some fresh sweet potatoes, reddish  and pumpkin, apples, and honey.
Of course we had fun running in the sun, smelling the wet soil and the manure, riding on  the outside of the car, petting all the animals (especially Donny), and throwing rotten pumpkins around.
Although this post is  very late, it is a nice refresher of the fun time we had together.
We couldn't find apples anywhere - they were all picked - until we came to the spot where they had bee hives, and nothing was picked there, because everyone was afraid of the bees. I was too, but I wanted apples too much!
The petting zoo was Donny's paradise, I am sure all the animals couldn't wait till we would get our of there. :)
